How does DSL work?
DSL uses your existing phone line, which is a dedicated phone line that's already in your home, to connect you to the Internet. DSL is a modem technology that turns your existing phone line into a three-channel data delivery system – one channel transmits voice services, so normal phone and fax usage continues whether or not you are accessing the Internet – a second channel transmits data downstream at high speeds, and a third bi-directional channel transmits data upstream.

Our DSL Service uses ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology—most commonly used in residential DSL—that provides high-speed Internet access with the download speeds faster than the upload speeds. That's why you'll see your downloading speed at up to 1.5Mbps or 3.0Mbps and your uploading speed at a lower rate of up to 128Kbps or 384Kbps. The downloading speeds are faster so you can quickly access Web pages, e-mail attachments, music files, software, online videos, and other large files. High uploading speeds are required more typically by businesses uploading files several megabytes in size.

How does DSL compare to cable?
DSL is a lot simpler than cable Internet access because it uses your existing phone line and does not require a cable connection for service.

Can I network several computers in my house to IFSIS DSL Service?
Yes. Using a DSL Networking Router, which you can purchase from most computer electronics stores, you can connect up to four computers to IFSIS DSL Service.

How many e-mail addresses do I get?
You receive 5 ineva.com email addresses including our Spam and Virus protection.  And if you are already an IFSIS customer, you can keep your email address, username and password without any interruption!

Easy to Install
After installing your software, just plug your DSL modem into any phone jack and a computer and you're ready to go. There's no complicated rewiring or drilling, since DSL uses the phone line you already have in your home.

What can affect my DSL connection speed?
Unusually heavy Internet traffic, the condition of your telephone lines, and the distance of your home from the telephone company's central switching station may affect and vary your DSL speed.

What are the differences in the 1.5Mbps and 3.0Mbps speeds?
With up to 1.5Mbps/128Kbps, you can surf the Net at up to 50 times the speed of a 28.8Kbps dial-up connection. With up to 3.0Mbps/384Kbps, you can double that speed and surf the Net at up to 100 times the speed of a 28.8Kbps dial-up connection.
